Galway Hospice

The Galway Hospice Governed services would like to thank Marie Cronnelly of Marie Cronnelly Mindfulness for supporting us by contributing to our recent National Workplace Wellbeing event.  It was a wonderfully relaxing ‘time out’ from our busy lives, giving us time to be kind to ourselves and learning breathing techniques to calm and settle our busy minds.

More about Marie

Mindfulness & Meditation

She provides creative & well-being works shops for teens and children as well as mindfulness classes online privately and in schools. More recently and with the global pandemic affecting everyone’s lives, Marie teaches online to a number of primary across the West of Ireland.

In 2020 she co-authored of a book “Awaken your wellbeing”, a book of transformation stories of courage, hope and healing. She is highly enthusiastic, motivated and courageous, she loves to push herself out of her comfort zone and has taken part in many unusual sports such as boxing.  At age 8 she was the only girl in Ireland to box as it was not recognised in Ireland at that time. She helped her brother break a Guinness Book of World records in boxing , by entering the ring and sparring a number of rounds with him to complete his long life dream. Female boxers were required to break the record, something of which Marie thoroughly enjoyed the physical challenge particularly having given birth the year before. She enjoys powerlifting, sea swimming as well as more zen practices of meditation, yoga, journaling and self-care.

Marie is very tuned in to children’s energy and has been teaching privately at her purpose built studio in Athenry. For now all classes remain online and this is proving to be very beneficial for the children.
